Stand by for information about future Skaalds meeting.
For directions and additional details if you’re not on my email reminder list, email Mark@Skaalds.com
All meetings of Skaalds are on hold for the obvious reasons: the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and LCC has been closed all summer. Stand by for more information as events unfold.
Projected 2020 Meeting Dates
No meetings are planned or projected in the near future. Our LCC meeting room might no longer be available to us anyway. More news as events warrant. Until then, we're still not dead. Wishing you all good health and good writing.
Detailed directions for TLC follow the break:
LCC TLC– the Sykes Technology and Learning Center– the big 4-story building on the NE corner of Capitol Avenue and Shiawassee across from the city parking ramp (the ramp with Gibson’s Books & Beans). We can park free in LOT W, kitty-corner across the intersection from TLC on the SW corner of Capitol and Shiawassee. Others can find free street parking (after 6:00). Try Seymour Street, one block west. (Handicapped parking is once again available between TLC and A&S.)
TLC Room 127, our new meeting location, should be available to us even when LCC is on break. Quick and easy access is from the side door on Capital Avenue, near the back (north end) of TLC– room 127 is immediately inside the entry, directly across from the service elevator.
From the main entrance (corner of Shiawassee and Capital): go through the lobby and take the long corridor to the far (north) end, turn left, and Room 127 is just at the Capital Avenue entry.
From the Arts & Sciences Building or handicap parking lot between A&S and TLC, use that east entrance and go straight to the Capital Avenue entry and you’ll find Room 127 on your left.
Good tables that take 6 each, feel free to bring food and drink. There is Gibson’s Books & Beans in the city parking ramp across Shiawassee and a vending machine or two in the TLC lobby.
